This Friday, Scott’s squadron had their Christmas party. I love Christmas parties because it’s the perfect excuse to dress up the whole family. Here’s what Aspen and I wore:
It’s always so hard finding something that is work party appropriate. Every year I struggle to find something that’s not scandelous, but also doesn’t make me look Amish. This year, I was very pleased to find this flowy skirt to pair with a nice flannel, which also allowed Scott and I to match, and have Aspen coordinate with us.

Today was 75 degrees. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? Although it is perfectly acceptable to wear shorts and tanks, I opted for some laid back cool weather flannel and denim.

As promised, park three to our Thanksgiving outfit ideas is here. The purpose of this series was to prove that you don’t have to necessarily go out and purchase a whole new wardrobe for the holidays. You can recreate very similar looks with items you already have in your closet. And if you do not have anything in your closet that can be worked into these basic outfit ideas, I have linked very afforable and convenient shops to shop from. Two of my most reliable last minute clothing stores is always Old Navy, Target, and Charolette Ruse because of how afforable and near by they are. Have fun shopping my Thanksgiving Feast looks!

This particular post is part two to a three day style series.
In this series I go over outfit ideas for Thanksgiving day that you will more than likely already have in your closet. If not, I link similar items below to stores that are 1) affordable, and 2) conveniently located. To see the first post, click here.

I’ve always been a procrastinator. It’s actually something that I have been working on the past few months. I’ve been reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching youtube videos on how to put an end to procrastination and how to reorganize your life. Although it has been incredibly helpful, and I have been practicing quite a few of these methods, I feel like I am not the only one who has mastered the art of waiting until the last minute to do something. So, the next few days, I will be posting last minute Thanksgiving outfit ideas that you already have in your closet, or something you could find similarily at any local store. The first one consists of a basic Tshirt dress, a cardigan, and flats (or in my case, oxfords)
Because these are all pieces I had on hand in my closet, the links might not all take you to the exact item in the images. Rather, they will be linked to affordable and similar items in convenient and typically near by stores.

Notice how the focus is a bit off?
I guess I’ll give him credit for the effort, but looks like I’m going to have to give him a DSLR basics lesson.
But anyway, today is Friday the 13th, and I had plans on dressing Aspen and I in all black, but then I realized the only black I had was formal wear. So I opted out for another transitional outfit. Now both my skirt and sweater is from Banana Republic, but they’re both about three years old, so I’ll try to find some similar ones and link them below.

Happy St. Patty’s day!
So, prior to getting pregnant and birthing Aspen, whisky was my jam. I mean, not to brag or anything, but I could hang. But these days, not so much. But I’ll attempt to drink something other than wine for the holiday. We’ll see how it pans out.
Anyhow, today Aspen and I went to Target to pick out some of her birthday gifts (I’m so excited, guys!), and then to the park at the beach to burn off some energy. Which worked wonders, because she took a pretty decent nap in her car seat.
Also, I got this super cute pelum style shirt from old navy for only $7! Shop it here.
